By popular demand we made soap in our Woodland Sprites session this weekend. After a quick tool talk about using knives, We carefully cut the cut and pour soap base up into small pieces and then melted it over the fire. Careful stirring was needed to ensure there were not too many bubbles in the liquid.
When the base melted we added dried blue cornflower petals and poured the hot liquid into a mould to set. While the soap set we decorated some little bags to put our finished soap in.
Our parents were very impressed with our soap and we have decided it would make an excellent Christmas present – so can we have another session closer to Christmas Miss Harvey and Miss Wilson!
